Community Life

Many of our activities take place in the common house. It has a  well equipped kitchen, a large dining room, a library and children's play room.  Twice a week members have the option of eating together, either a potluck meal  or one prepared by a group of volunteers.   There are many monthly activities, including happy hour,  documentary film night and various committee meetings. On holidays there is  always a large crowd engaged in celebrating July 4th, New Years and Halloween,  to name but a few.

The  community also provides many shared amenities including a 2-acres vegetable  garden and a playscape for our younger members. There is a central meadow where warm weather will bring out our more active member for a game of soccer,  volleyball or table tennis. On warm summer evenings picnic tables provide a central eating place and  sometimes we invite a local food truck to provide us with supper. A dog run provides and area where dogs can run and play without a leash.
